Carlarity is a UK-focused vehicle intelligence service. The legal owner should complete the controller details before public launch: [Insert legal company name]. Privacy and data-rights enquiries can be sent to enquiries@carlarity.com.

  • Free and Premium report activity, including report access status and saved Garage records where used.
  • Account information where you create or use an account, such as your email address and authentication identifiers.
  • Payment status and Stripe checkout references needed to confirm purchases. Carlarity does not store full card details.
  • Technical information such as device or browser identifiers, IP-derived technical logs, error diagnostics and local browser storage.

How We Use Information

  • To generate free and Premium vehicle reports.
  • To verify Premium report access and restore access on the entitled browser, device or account.
  • To save vehicles to Garage and support account/device sync where available.
  • To improve reliability, diagnose faults, prevent misuse and maintain security.
  • To respond to support, privacy or data-correction requests.

The main legal bases under UK GDPR are contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations and consent where a consent-based feature is used.

Vehicle Data And Providers

Vehicle reports may combine user-entered information with data from government, vehicle-history, valuation and market-evidence providers. Provider availability can vary by vehicle and package.

  • Vehicle data providers, including DVLA, DVSA MOT History, UKVD, VDICheck and other vehicle-history or valuation providers where used by the report.
  • Stripe for payment processing and checkout confirmation.
  • Supabase for authentication, database storage and account-related services.
  • Hosting, infrastructure, analytics and monitoring services used to operate and secure the web app.

Payments, Cookies And Local Storage

Premium report purchases are processed through Stripe. Carlarity stores the information needed to confirm payment status and report access, but does not receive or store full payment card details.

Carlarity uses local browser storage for features such as device-based Premium access, saved report state and Garage behaviour. Cookies or similar storage may also be used for authentication, security and product reliability.

Retention, Security And Transfers

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and why it is held. Carlarity keeps information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain purchase records, support users, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.

Carlarity uses technical and organisational safeguards appropriate for a digital service, but no internet service can be guaranteed risk-free. Some service providers may process data outside the UK; where relevant, Carlarity relies on appropriate safeguards used by those providers.

Your Rights

  • Access the personal information held about you.
  • Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected.
  • Ask for deletion or restriction where applicable.
  • Object to certain processing or ask for a copy of your data where applicable.
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your data rights have not been handled properly.
